入 香 港 教 區 。 自 一 九 五 三 年 起 ， 服 務 於 北 角 聖 猶 達
堂 。 於 一 九 七 一 年 八 月 二 日 逝 世 。
Father John Wang dies
The assistant priest at St. Jude Church, the Rev. Father John Wang, died at Canossa Hospital yesterday at the age of 75. He had been with the North Point parish of the Roman Catholic Church for the last 18 years.
Born in Luchen, Shansi Province, he was ordained priest in Shansi for the Hatung diocese in 1922, and worked there as curate, parish priest, dean and rector of the Minor Seminary until 1949 when he came to Hong Kong.
There will be a Requiem Mass at St. Margaret’s Church, Happy
Valley, at 10am today prior to burial at the Catholic Cemetery.

Death of Father John WANG Fu Chen
R.I.P.
Father John Wang, Assistant Priest of St. Jude’s Parish, North Point, for the past 18
years, died on Monday, 2 August 1971, at Canossa Hospital, Hong Kong, aged 75.
Requiem Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret’s Church, Happy Valley, on Tuesday,
3 August 1971. Burial followed at the Catholic Cemetery, Happy Valley.
Father John Wang was born in Luchen, Shansi Province in 1896. He was ordained priest in
Shansi for the Hutung Diocese in 1922, and worked there as curate, Parish Priest, Dean and
Rector of the Minor Seminary until 1949, when he came to Hong Kong to continue his
apostolate here.
Father Wang was greatly loved by his parishioners for his readiness to serve them,
especially in the confessional, at all times. Three years ago he was operated on for
cancer. Partial recovery enabled him to carry on part-time work, He bore the pain of his
later days with exemplary patience and calm.

香 港 天 主 教 王 輔 臣 神 父 於 一 九 七 一 年 八 月 二 日 上 午 五 時 病 逝 於 舊 山 頂 道 嘉 諾 撒 醫 院 ， 享 年 七 十 五 歲 。 追 悼 彌 撒 於 本 月 三 日 上 午 十 時 假 跑 馬 地 聖 瑪 加 利 大 堂 舉 行 ， 彌 撒 後 出 殯 。
在 過 去 十 八 年 中 ， 王 神 父 服 務 於 北 角 聖 猶 達 堂 ， 事 主 牧 民 ， 忠 誠 不 懈 ， 深 為 堂 區 教 民 所 愛 戴 。 最 近 兩 年 體 弱 多 病 ， 終 於 不 治 。
王 神 父 原 籍 山 西 潞 城 縣 ， 幼 年 矢 志 修 道 ， 加 入 山 西 洪 洞 教 區 ， 一 九 二 二 年 晉 鐸 ， 先 後 曾 任 助 理 司 鐸 ， 堂 區 主 任 司 鐸 、 總 鐸 、 小 修 院 院 長 。 一 九 四 九 年 來 港 ， 自 一 九 五 三 年 即 服 務 於 北 角 堂 區 。
王 神 父 乃 北 角 堂 區 服 務 時 間 最 長 的 一 位 神
父 ， 畢 生 事 主 唯 勤 ， 祈 禱 默 想 ， 絕 不 鬆 懈 ， 為 教 友
行 聖 事 ， 時 間 雖 長 ， 亦 不 因 年 高 而 節 勞 。 三 年 前 患
胃 癌 ， 經 良 醫 割 治 後 ， 曾 帶 病 工 作 。 最 後 病 發 ， 雖
病 痛 深 劇 ， 始 終 泰 然 忍 受 ， 堪 稱 修 道 模 範 。
