Philip Lau Hak-Tsing

Father Philip Lau Hak-Tsing, originally of the Canton diocese, died in the Precious Blood Hospital on Tuesday, 10 September 1974, aged 76.
Father Lau entered the Minor Seminary in Canton in 1912. In 1916 he went to Penang Major Seminary for Philosophy and Theology. He was ordained in Canton 1922 and did missionary work in the Solomon Islands for several years. After his return to Canton, he was parish priests of To Kam Hang, Holy Trinity Parish till the Communist takeover in 1949. He then came to Hong Kong and served in Rosary Church, Kowloon. In 1956 he went to Suriname, South America. He returned to Hong Kong in 1972.
A Requiem
Mass was concelebrated on Thursday, 12 September 1974 in St. Margaret Church and
burial was in the St. Michael Cemetery, Happy Valley, with Father Gabriel Lam,
Vicar Capitular, as chief celebrant.

廣 州 教 區 國 籍 司 鐸 劉 克 靖 神 父 ， 於 一 九 七 四 年 九 月 十 日 (星 期 四) 在 寶 血 醫 院 病 逝 ， 享 年 七 十 六 歲 。 翌 日 下 午 三 時 正 ， 本 港 教 區 署 理 主 教 林 焯 煒 神 父 等 在 跑 馬 地 聖 瑪 加 利 大 堂 舉 行 追 思 彌 撒 ， 特 別 為 劉 神 父 祈 禱 。 彌 撒 後 隨 即 在 跑 馬 地 天 主 教 墳 場 舉 行 殯 葬 禮 ， 儀 式 由 劉 利 賢 神 父 主 持 。
劉 克 靖 神 父 於 一 九 一 二 年 進 入 廣 州 教 區 小 修 院 ， 一 九 一 六 年 在 濱 城 大 修 院 攻 讀 神 哲 學 ， 一 九 二 二 年 在 廣 州 晉 鐸 。 晉 鐸 後 曾 在 所 羅 門 等 地 傳 教 數 年 ， 抗 日 戰 爭 時 曾 任 廣 州 淘 金 坑 聖 三 區 本 堂 司 鐸 ， 一 九 四 九 年 來 港 ， 曾 在 九 龍 玫 瑰 堂 服 務 ， 一 九 五 六 年 往 南 美 傳 教 ， 一 九 七 二 年 退 休 返 港 。 劉 神 父 熱 心 於 華 僑 傳 教 工 作 ， 請 各 教 友
為 彼 代 禱 。
