Death of Sister Beatrice Stapleton, M.M.

Maryknoll Sister Beatrice Stapleton (Matthew Marie) died at Maryknoll Nursing Home on the 1 October 1990 of Multiple Myeloma.
Sister Beatrice was assigned to Hong Kong immediately after her first vows in 1935. She taught at Maryknoll Convent School from 1935-1971 except for the period of World War II.
In 1971 she returned to United States to retire. Her
retirement was filled with the joyful sharing of her days in Hong Kong. She
good-humouredly admitted to “showing slides of Hong Kong to anyone who would
watch.”
