Death of Sister Katherine Lui Yin Kam S.P.B.
R.I.P.
Sister Katherine Lui, former Superior General of the Sisters of the Precious Blood, died on 27 January 1982 at the Precious Blood Hospital, aged 70.
Sister Lui was already 43 when she entered the Precious Blood Sisters. After taking her vows she served her congregation in many capacities but more particularly in educational work. She was principal and supervisor of Precious Blood Girls’ Middle School for twelve years and was Superior General for sixteen years. After finishing her long term as general she remained as member in council, Sister Superior of many convents and supervisor of many schools.
Mass of the
Resurrection was celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Shamshuipo, burial
followed in St. Raphael’s Cemetery, on 30 January.

本月廿七息勞歸主
本 教 區 耶 穌 寶 血 女 修 會 呂 燃 金 修 女 ， 於 一 九 八 二 年 一 月 廿 七 日 中 午 十 二 時 四 十 分 ， 病 逝 於 九 龍 寶 血 醫 院 ， 享 年 七 十 歲 。
呂 修 女 原 籍 廣 東 順 德 ， 聖 名 加 大 肋 納 ， 入 寶 血
會 已 四 十 三 載 ， 發 願 後 多 從 事 會 務 及 教 育 工 作 。 曾 任 寶 血 女 中 校 監 兼 校 長 十 二 年 ； 其 後 出 任
該 會 總 會 長 十 六 年 ， 卸 任 後 仍 任 總 參 議 、 院 長 、 校 監 等 職 ， 畢 生 虔 誠 事 主 ， 作 育 英 才 ， 扶 掖
後 進 。 現 今 一 旦 與 世 長 辭 ， 令 人 惋 惜 。
