Death of
Mother Mabel Anderson
Canossian Daughter of Charity
R.I.P.
Mother Mabel Anderson, Canossian Daughter of Charity, died on 24 June 1984 the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ, aged 93.
Mother Mabel was born into a Hong Kong family on 24 October
1891, and joined the Canossian Institute in 1926. She proved invaluable as a
teacher and as Headmistress of Pui-Ching, the Canossian primary Chinese school.
Her students still remember her patience, her kindness, her witty serenity and
her zeal in teaching catechism.
