Death of Sister Mary Clement Quinn M.M.

Sister Mary Clement Quinn, after a long illness, died peacefully in her sleep at the Maryknoll Nursing Home in Ossining, New York, on 14 February 1980, aged 86.
Sister Clement, the former Miss Philomena Quinn of St. Francis Xavier Parish, Brooklyn, entered the Maryknoll Sisters missionary congregation in 1921. Four years later she was assigned to Hong Kong where she engaged in office and administrative work.
In 1943 she served in Chunking, moving to Kunming during 1944-45. She returned to Hong Kong in 1945.
After 50 years of work with the Chinese people, Sister
Clement returned to the Maryknoll Centre in 1975.
